Start the year centered on Christ! Come to Highrock Cambridge to pray for God to move in the Boston area, for our churches, and for personal joys and concerns.
Outside of Sunday morning, LifeGroups are the primary place we hope to form connections at Highrock: Connections to one another, to God, and to the work God is doing. God grows seeds when we expose them to water and sunlight - and God grows souls when we expose them to scripture and to one another. But it's gotta be consistent. If a LifeGroup is successful, you feel known there - and you have a close group of Christian friends to walk with you through whatever life brings. A typical group meets once a week, in a home, to spend a couple hours sharing life, discussing scripture and praying together. But groups are personal, so every group is different! Ideally, your group looks like whatever is healthiest for the people in it.
The late 20s/early 30s group is a weekly gathering of Highrock North Shore members in similar stages of life. We are reading Sabbath as Resistance by Walter Brueggeman and will be discussing the content each time we get together. The group leaders/hosts are Wes & Amanda Chittick and Matt & Kyra Drescher-Dennis. We will alternate between our homes (both in Beverly) each week and also take turns leading the discussion.
This is a group whose purpose is to be able to meet together with other couples despite the scheduling challenges of having young kids! We are hoping to be flexible in this particular life stage and help people connect. You do not have to have kids or be a "family" to join.
Believers in Christ
Encouraging & serving each other & our community
We are Cheryl & Patrick Cowen and have just celebrated our 1 year anniversary at Highrock!
We have delighted in all the ways we have been invited to serve our church community and beyond. We would love to continue to serve in bigger and more loving ways with your help!
Twice a month (every other week) we gather - day/time & location TBD. At least twice a month we serve as a group in our community and to our fellow Highrockers Missions. If serving others is calling to you, come join us and follow that voice in your heart.
The one where we can't fit any more people in Matt & Kyra's living room, so we set out on our own.
This is a new group, looking to build its membership; open to anyone in their 20s. Whether you were part of the original 20Somethings group or are brand new, we'd love to have you!
A meeting of women over 40 that will involve fellowship, prayer, and scripture in order to strengthen our relationship to God and one another. This group will be studying the book of Mark. We hope to become a committed core group of women in the church to be of service to younger members as we grow stronger in our Christian walk. We will also schedule social nights for further connection and fun!
Looking for a way to connect with other women at church? Ever wondered how to actually read the bible and get something out of it? Whether you are in college, single, married, divorced, having babies, struggling with teens, retired, or have grandkids - JOIN US! We will have time to hang out, study together, and pray. (Childcare is provided with a donation)
We are currently taking a break for Lent, but will begin again on May with "Present Over Perfect", a study written by Shauna Nyquist. We will study 5 sessions together and have two weeks of fellowship before dismissing for summer.
Would love to have you join us!
I’ll be there for you…every Thursday, 7-9:00pm. This life group is focused on growing together as a community, committed to sharing life together, studying the Bible, and praying for one another. We are open to all, as our main objective is experiencing the fullness of life in Christ through a diverse community.
Not currently open to new members
This is what Highrock calls a "growth group" - 10 or so people meeting every week, as consistently as possible, in order to build intimacy and safety. We want to be in each other's lives so we can grow in Christ as we know and are known by one another.
Change is part of life, but consistency is what builds the kind of intimacy that helps us grow. So to allow for both consistency and change, we take a seasonal approach. This group met consistently from October to December; in January we'll reconvene and commit to being consistent again until May. This chance to renew our commitment is also a chance for members to step back if they need to, or for us to invite in a few new faces if it seems like a good time to do that.
What do we do? There's no fixed curriculum, but there's a leader and a loose agenda every week. We always hope to spend at least a few minutes discussing the scriptures and a few minutes praying together. Beyond that, much of our first 6 months together has been spent hearing one another's stories.
Not currently open to new members
We are a family, mixed age life group that will have open meetings on Sept 17 and Oct 1st, and then be a committed life group through the season of December. We will reopen to new folks in January, after which we'll have a season of commitment. Childcare provided, and we take turns contributing to the meal once or twice a season.
Meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 5:30-7:00pm.

We are a bilingual English/Spanish group for all who want to speak and/or practice Spanish. We are composed of families, couples, and single people who want to practice speaking with other Christians. We share a meal of foods from Latin American countries and enjoy fellowship in both languages! Whether you are a beginner or native speaker, all are welcome!
Our LifeGroup is geared towards young adults (20's-30's) mostly from the Beverly/Salem area. Our goal is to get to know each other on a deeper level, explore the Bible more intensely, and have fun. Throughout our time together we keep each other accountable, encourage each other, and laugh together through the ups and downs of day to day life.
Every week we get together with other 20somethings (and a few 30somethings who love them!) to talk about the ancient monastic personality test, the Enneagram, and to talk about a Bible passage that relates to that week's type! We also eat dinner together each week and pray for one another.
On the first Wednesday of every month, we break from our normal routine and just go out and do something fun: a night on the town, a game night, or anything your little heart can dream up.
Tuesdays 7:30-9pm in Salem
